Price checking using minimum and maximum prices per product

Follow

SellerExpress automatic pricing calculates prices using your pricing rules - and the minimum and maximum price for an item is determined by the settings within each rule.

Some customers prefer to use fixed minimum and maximum pricing. Although SellerExpress isn't designed to allow you to set fixed values for min and max, it can be done. You would need to do the following:

  • Put your minimum price per item into the 'Cost Price' field in the product screen (or via the Import Products feature)
  • Put your maximum price per item into the 'Default Sale Price' field in the product screen (next to the Cost Price field) (or again via the Import Products feature)
  • Within the Amazon Settings screen - Price Checking Rule section - set your minimum setting to be Cost Price plus £0.00 plus 0% (i.e. cost price which is your minimum)
  • Within the Amazon Settings screen - Price Checking Rule section - set your maximum setting to be Sale Price plus £0.01 and/ or plus 1% (i.e. default sale price which is your maximum. Maximum settings of '£0 + 0%' will assume no maximum is to be used. )
  • Apply these to each rule you have setup
  • Next automatic price check will then use your fixed min and max prices

NB - Default sale price is also used as the price per item on the Create Order screen (for logging sales from non SellerExpress marketplaces) - so this solution may not suit if you use this feature of SellerExpress
